Floral Design: Salt Harbor Designs

I really enjoy doing bridal sessions. It gives me some extra time to get to know my bride. The only thing that I don't like about bridals is that I can't share the photos until after the wedding. God forbid the groom stumbles upon my blog and sees the bride in her dress. (gasp!!!) The bride would have to run out and buy a brand new dress. Kelly and Greg got hitched on New Year's Eve so we a fine. Here are some of my favs from the session.

The first image below is the one we had enlarged and framed at the reception. Kelly her Mom and I really loved this one.

Yes we partied like it was 2010. Kelly and Greg thru one awsome New Year's Eve party. The week leading up to the wedding the forcast was for ran. I then started praying that it would not. I guest someone heard my prayers and answered. It sprinkled a little, but nothing to worry about. What better way to bring in the new year then getting married.

Thank You Kelly and Greg for letting me bring in the new year with you.

I had a chance to shoot Janet and Rich’s engagement session and bridal session. Over this year in the short times we spent together, I could see the great love they have for each other. This is how their beautiful wedding day unfolded

Janet bridal session Janet bridal session I wanted to post this session as soon as I shot it. But I had to wait till after the wedding. Janet was married a few weeks ago so I’m all clear to post. Being that we are in the south we shoot a lot more bridal sessions before the wedding than photographers in other regions. I think it’s a southern tradition to have a large print of the bride at the reception. I have no idea were this tradition began but I sure do enjoy it. I love shooting bridal sessions. I enjoy finding new and unique locations to shoot at. Locations that we might not be able to get to on the wedding day.

Janet had a hard time choosing which photo to print so she chose several from below. The large gallery print she selected is number 5. This photo was taken in front of First Baptist Church downtown were the wedding toke place.

I have tons of awesome shots from Janet and Rich's wedding. I can’t wait to post them.

Jennifer + Shaun wedding PART 1 Jennifer + Shaun wedding PART 1 Ceremony: Brunswick Town Historic Church

Reception: The Balcony on Dock

I would have to say Jennifer is the ultimate do it your-self bride. When she told me all the details of the wedding I was excited. Then she proceeded to tell me that she would be making everything her self. I thought to myself this is a disaster waiting to happen. I can honestly say this bride proved me wrong. Jen managed to make all the bridal bouquets and centerpieces for the wedding. All of her jewelry and the bridesmaid’s hair clips. Also the cupcake teir and countless other deatails. Not to mention all the details that she planed and delegated. What I thought was amazing is that she managed to stay calm throughout the process and not turn into a bridezilla. The groom assured me this was true. Jennifer and Shaun’s wedding is a example that you can plan and execute a wedding without a planer or florist and save tons of money. *Disclaimer I would not recommend this to all brides. You my not be as savvy as Jennifer but you can try. Part two of this wedding coming soon.

Yolonda + Jonathan wedding Yolonda + Jonathan wedding I’ve known Yolanda since  before I could walk or talk. We grow up together going to the same church. We both meet Jonathan when we were in our teens at church also. Who would have thought they would be getting married. So when they asked me if I could shot their wedding there was no second thought. It was nice to see faces at the wedding that I have not seen in a long time. Many of them helped to shape me into the person I am today. Congrats Yolonda and Jonathan!
